In 2020 at the age of 34 I started experiencing problems with my heart. I was told that I would need to have a pacemaker fitted and it absolutely terrified me. After having it fitted it took me a couple of years to come to terms with it and accept it, I now feel okay about it and wanted to incorporate it in to a t-shirt somehow. I have always loved things like puns and a good play on words and one day whilst thinking of ideas “PeACE MAKER” popped into my head. I knew instantly I had to incorporate the peace sign alongside a heart with some trees growing out of it… so I sent that brief to one of the illustrators I use and this is what they came back with. Once I got the design back I felt like it needed something extra and I spent weeks trying to think of an idea then one morning I woke up and my first thought was “label it like an anatomical heart!” so I did! This design is full of meaning for me and I hope you can find you own meaning in it too.
